Cast Metal House Signs
Recently we've completed a lot of commemorative plaque projects - but we've also had a number of house sign commissions which are also worth a mention. Here are some of our recent favourites.
Firstly, this oval house sign for the Thompson Family - they obviously love Jack Russels! This sign was cast in aluminium, sprayed and then finished by hand using sign-writer's enamels for a long-lasting finish. This is a great example of a design which incorporates subtle detail in the finish - not just blocks of colour:
Secondly, a slight more unusual house sign - this time for a disused Station House in Hampsthwaite, a little village in Yorkshire near Harrogate. Finished in a traditional but very appealing combination of white text on a dark red background:
A really simple sign next - just a number 7 with an arrow, finished in black and gold:
And the final sign in this quick round-up, for Dean's Cottage, also featuring a dog emblem, this time painted in solid black with matching black text on a vibrant blue background:
We love the variation in the projects we work on - from simple text-only signs, to those requiring a real eye for detail and a steady hand. For more examples of house signs, please visit our house sign galleries:
